Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees will apply once the reservation is completed. If the guest fails to contact us and does not arrive by 5:00 PM, the scheduled start time for the Japanese cooking lesson, the comprehensive service reservation, including accommodation, may be considered canceled by the guest. Additionally, for lessons, lectures, or workshops missed due to a late arrival on the same day, no refunds will be provided.

※”Comprehensive service including accommodation” refers to plans that include one-night accommodation, Japanese cooking lessons, matcha workshops, calligraphy workshops, and other optional services such as onigiri lessons, kimono rentals, and Japanese sake lectures.
※”The Facility” refers to “Hanyu.no.obasanchi.”
※”Guests” refers to all individuals named on the reservation form for the “comprehensive service including accommodation.”
- About Cancellation Fees
Personal information will be collected within the necessary scope to provide our services, in accordance with the purposes disclosed or publicly announced to customers.- 21 days prior to the reservation date: 20% of the accommodation fee
- 14 days prior to the reservation date: 30% of the accommodation fee
- 7 days prior to the reservation date: 50% of the accommodation fee
- 1 day prior to the reservation date: 100% of the accommodation fee
- On the reservation date: 100% of the accommodation fee
- About Refund Policy
- The refundable amount will be the total after deducting payment and refund processing fees, in addition to the applicable cancellation fee.
- Even if no cancellation fee applies, the refundable amount will still be subject to deduction of payment and refund processing fees.
- Handling of Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure, such as major natural disasters or pandemics covered in international news, cancellation fees will be waived as an exception. Additionally, if a guest can submit documentation proving the inability to travel due to reasons beyond their control, such as the failure or delay of public transportation (trains, airplanes, etc.), the cancellation fee will be waived.
- For cancellations due to any reasons other than those described in Item 3, the cancellation fees listed in Item 1 will apply.

【Arrival Day】
- 14:00 Pickup at Hanyu Station by car
- 14:15 Check-in procedure (form filling, passport copy, etc.)
- 14:30 Facility tour
- 14:45 Kimono dressing (for Plus Service applicants – 15 minutes per person)
- 15:00 Matcha workshop ※If there are 3 participants for kimono dressing, the workshop will start at 15:30.
- 17:00 Japanese cooking lesson
- 19:00 Tasting (dinner) time & Japanese sake lecture (for Plus Service applicants)
- 20:30 Free time & bath & optional free lessons (upon request)
【Departure Day】
- 6:45 Onigiri Lesson (for those who applied for Plus service)
- 7:45 Breakfast tasting time ※The living room tea bar & snacks (e.g., biscuits and light refreshments) are available free of charge.
- 8:30 Calligraphy Workshop
- 9:30 Departure preparation Check for forgotten items and room inspection with Hanyu’s Aunt
- 10:00 Check-out and transfer to Hanyu Station
